Changelog

Everything new in BurnOn — features, improvements, and fixes, as they ship.

iOS 1.2.16New

Live workout hand-off, workout tags, and QR check-in

Live sessions now move between devices in real time, a new tagging system organizes the workout library, and members check in with a rotating QR code.

Workouts now hand off live

A live session can start on one device and finish on another — coach or client — without losing a set.

  • Hand a live session to another device or person mid-workout
  • Progress follows instantly — sets, weights, and timers come along
  • Real-time sync keeps coach and client views aligned

Run multiple sessions at once

Several live workout sessions can run side by side.

  • Multiple live sessions can be kept going at the same time
  • The new Live Session switcher jumps between running sessions
  • A live-session banner keeps every running workout one tap away

Tags for the workout library

A new tagging system for workouts and routine templates.

  • Custom tags can be applied to any workout or routine template
  • Filter the library by tag to pull up the right template in seconds
  • Tags work across workouts and routines, on iOS and web

Check-in with a QR scan

Members carry a rotating QR code; staff scan it at the door and attendance is recorded automatically.

  • Each member gets a secure QR code that refreshes automatically
  • Built-in camera scanner — no extra hardware
  • Front-desk check-in covers walk-ins and manual entries
  • Every scan lands in attendance records, ready for reporting

Other fixes and improvements

  • A new in-app notification Inbox for coaches and clients — bookings, messages, and workout activity in one place, delivered consistently across push, in-app, and email
  • The AI Assistant sends a heads-up whenever it changes data
  • Clients can start a Quick Workout on their own — no assignment needed
  • Whole exercise groups — supersets and circuits — can be dragged when building workouts; an iPad reorder crash is fixed
  • A public changelog with RSS — every BurnOn release, in one place
  • A fully redesigned burnon.ai website
  • Payment-recovery emails now reach clients even before account activation
iOS 1.2.15New

A sharper AI Assistant, smarter logging, and flexible programs

A more capable in-app Assistant, faster and more accurate in-workout logging, multiple programs per client, and a stack of practical upgrades.

The AI Assistant now shows its work

When the in-app Assistant proposes a change — like a new workout template — coaches get a clear card to approve or reject before anything happens.

  • Approve or reject AI-proposed actions right inside the chat
  • Expand a resolved proposal to see exactly what was created
  • Smoother chat — retry, reload earlier history, and steadier scrolling

Smarter in-workout logging

Logging a set is faster and more accurate — and a finished session can now be corrected after the fact.

  • The Previous Session's numbers now appear right where a set is logged
  • Prescribed-set rules stop weights carrying into uncompleted sets, protecting templates
  • Unit-aware weight entry — whole pounds, one-decimal kilos
  • Edit a completed workout session — a coach's or a client's — when something needs correcting
  • A steadier rest timer between exercises

More flexible programs

Clients can follow more than one program at a time, each with its own weekly overview — and the Programs view is roomier and easier to scan.

  • Assign multiple concurrent programs per client
  • Aggregated weekly overviews across all of a client's programs
  • Weeks now start on Monday for clearer planning
  • Sort programs and workouts by who created them
  • Larger, more comfortable Programs sheets

Also new

  • Water tracking — log daily water toward a goal, with quick-add and custom goals
  • Team access levels — owners control what each team member can do
  • Filter the client list by coach
  • Create, delete, and validate intake forms
  • Tighter health-data privacy — explicit client consent and Apple Health sharing controls
iOS 1.2.14New

Chat, channels, and announcements

Real-time messaging comes to BurnOn, plus a cleaner way to manage programs and your day.

In-app chat and channels

Talk to clients one-on-one or in group coaching channels, built right into BurnOn — no more WhatsApp.

  • One-on-one direct messages with any client
  • Group coaching channels with simple membership management
  • Push notifications and unread badges
  • Share photos and files in chat

Announcements to your whole community

Broadcast an update to a whole group or client segment in a single send, delivered as dedicated announcement messages.

  • Reach a group or segment in one send
  • See your recipient count before you send
  • Great for schedule changes, promos, and community updates

Routines are now Programs

A clearer name and cleaner states for the plans you build.

  • Routines renamed to Programs across the app
  • Draft and published states for workout templates

Also new

  • The AI Assistant now handles shared photos and files
  • Find clients fast with search on the clients page
  • Sort your client list by adherence to see who needs a nudge
  • A personalized daily morning brief
